Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a dedicated Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of the Store Manager. You will unload shipments, stock shelves, and assist customers with locating items while maintaining displays and plan-o-grams.

You will operate the cash register, handle transactions, and ensure a clean, safe store environment. This role emphasizes exemplary customer service and teamwork to maximize store profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong math and cash handling skills.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions.
• Ability to read plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the store process and stock merchandise; maintain plan-o-grams.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and provide excellent service.
• Operate cash register, total purchases and collect payments.
• Keep front end clean, organized and secure; support loss prevention and safety.
• Open/close the store under direction of Area Manager.
