Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is seeking a dependable Lead Store Sales Associate to support daily operations, customer service, and sales goals across multiple locations. You will help manage opening/closing, operating cash registers, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

We value reliable attendance, basic leadership and teamwork, and strong communication. Prior retail or thrift experience is preferred, with opportunities for leadership development and ongoing coaching.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps support programs that make a difference in the community. We are looking for a dependable and motivated Lead Store Sales Associate to support store management with daily operations, customer service, sales goals, and maintaining a positive shopping experience.

What You’ll Do

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
• Valid Driver’s License with ability to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army per policy
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• Previous retail or thrift store experience
• Experience leading or directing team members
• Previous cash handling and customer service experience
