Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Lead Construction Safety Manager for a 4-month contract in Lebanon, IN. The role focuses on leading safety programs for a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility construction project, coordinating with the GC, owner's reps, and craft personnel.

Responsibilities include orientations, JHAs, field observations, and safety meetings, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and proactive hazard mitigation on a high-stakes industrial site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 510 Certification required.
• OSHA 30 Construction Certification (within past 5 years).
• Experience working directly with owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead onsite safety professional for the project.
• Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding activities.
• Review and manage Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and pre-task plans.
• Perform routine field observations, audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Lead and participate in project safety meetings and planning discussions.
• Work directly with General Contractor, owner representatives, and project leadership.
• Monitor mechanical construction activities, material handling operations, and contractor work practices.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Maintain required safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
