Job summary

Alpine Animal Clinic in Montana is seeking a Lead Veterinary Technician to balance hands-on patient care with team leadership. You will support daily hospital operations while mentoring our technical team and acting as a clinical resource.

We value clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication, and offer a 4/10 schedule, full-time hours, and a competitive hourly wage of $22–$25 plus shift differentials and weekend coverage. AAHA-accredited hospital with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years veterinary technician experience
• Active and good‑standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in Montana preferred
• Team or shift lead experience preferred
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, anesthesia, surgical assistance, dental prophylaxis, radiography, venipuncture, med administration, lab testing

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assist in surgery and dental procedures including radiography
• Maintain medical records and communicate treatment plans with clients
• Delegate daily tasks and coordinate workflow for quality patient care
• Provide training and mentorship to Veterinary Technicians and Assistants
• Monitor daily operations to uphold safety and standards
• Build strong client relationships and foster a positive team culture
