Job summary

Clear Creek Animal Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to provide clinical leadership while supporting outpatient care and procedures, including surgery and dentistry.

As Lead RVT, you will mentor the team, help coordinate hospital flow, and serve as a clinical resource while maintaining hands-on skills. This role emphasizes high-quality patient care and client service in a dynamic general practice.

Qualifications

• Active and Colorado-registered RVT with 5+ years of experience
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and teaching abilities for technicians and assistants
• Proficiency in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and patient care with accurate drug calculations

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and support to technicians and veterinary assistants
• Serve as a clinical resource while performing advanced technician duties, including anesthesia, surgical and dental procedures, and patient monitoring
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Partner with hospital leadership to identify workflow challenges and implement improvement
• Coordinate daily support staff workflow and reinforce hospital SOPs, safety protocols, and clinical standards
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
