Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to supervise shift activities and provide expert clinical support. You will work to ensure staffing, patient care workload, and resource management meet high standards of safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, 2 years of clinical experience, and NBRC RRT certification with active Georgia licensure. ACLS/BCLS/PALS are required or substituted where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• 2 years clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• RRT certification by NBRC required; GA licensure on hire or eligible.
• ACLS/ALS can be used in place of ACLS; BCLS and PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the supervision of shift activities and acts as the expert on the assigned shift.
• Provides daily staffing and assignments support and resource coordination.
• Performs preceptor tasks and manages assigned patient care workload.
• Serves as a role model and fosters an efficient, accountable, collaborative team environment with staff and physicians.
• Delivers high standards of patient safety and quality of care.

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• 2 years Clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy. If limited NICU experience, able to ramp up basic skill set (i.e., delivery support, blood gases, equipment setup) within a defined timeframe. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); has and maintains a current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required
• ACLS ALS can be used in place of ACLS Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
