Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support shift supervision, patient care, and collaboration with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. This role emphasizes operational excellence and teamwork within a busy hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, 2 years of clinical experience, NBRC-registered or eligible for RRT, and current Georgia licensure with required certifications (ACLS, BCLS, PALS).

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• 2 years clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy. If limited NICU experience, able to ramp up basic skill set within a defined timeframe.
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC); current Georgia licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional required.
• ACLS ALS can be used in place of ACLS
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required

Responsibilities

• Supports the supervision of shift activities and acts as the expert during the assigned shift.
• Duties include daily support of staffing and assignments and providing resource support.
• Supports preceptor tasks and fulfills assigned patient care workload.
• Delivers high standards of patient safety and quality of care and collaborates with staff and physicians.

• 2 years Clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy. If limited NICU experience, able to ramp up basic skill set (i.e., delivery support, blood gases, equipment setup) within a defined timeframe . Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); has and maintains a current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required
• ACLS ALS can be used in place of ACLS Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
