Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for day shift coverage. This role supports shift supervision, staffing, and patient care workload while collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality, safe care.

Required qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, 2 years of clinical Respiratory Therapy experience, NBRC RRT certification and GA license upon hire, and ACLS/BCLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience required; NICU ramp-up possible within timeframe.
• Must be a registered respiratory therapist (RRT) with NBRC, Georgia license upon hire.
• ACLS, BCLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift activities and serve as the clinical expert during assigned shift.
• Support staffing, assignments, and patient care workload on a daily basis.
• Provide resource support and assist preceptor tasks.
• Promote a highly efficient, accountable, collaborative team environment with staff and physicians.
• Maintain the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities

Supports the supervision of shift activities, and acts as the expert during his or her assigned shift. Work Experience

• 2 years Clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy. If limited NICU experience, able to ramp up basic skill set (i.e., delivery support, blood gases, equipment setup) within a defined timeframe. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); has and maintains a current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required


• ACLS ALS can be used in place of ACLS Required


• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required


• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
