Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to support shift activities, manage staffing and patient care loads, and serve as a clinical resource during your assigned shift.

You will collaborate with physicians and staff, ensure patient safety and high-quality care, and bring at least 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience along with an Associate's degree and NBRC RRT certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical Respiratory Therapy experience.
• RRT NBRC credential; Georgia licensure; ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Supports supervision of shift activities and acts as expert during assigned shift.
• Delivers highest standards of patient safety and quality of care; collaborates with staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

Supports the supervision of shift activities, and acts as the expert during his or her assigned shift. Duties include daily support of staffing and assignments, providing resource support, supporting preceptor tasks, and fulfilling assigned patient care workload. Serves as a role model and advocates a highly efficient, accountable and collaborative team environment between staff and with physicians. Delivers the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• 2 years Clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy. If limited NICU experience, able to ramp up basic skill set (i.e., delivery support, blood gases, equipment setup) within a defined timeframe. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); has and maintains a current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required
• ACLS ALS can be used in place of ACLS Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
