Job summary

Prince in Florida is seeking a senior surveyor to lead crews and guide field data collection for road construction projects. You will coordinate with the Survey Manager to perform as-built surveys and prepare GPS data for automated equipment, ensuring precise layouts.

Responsibilities include daily equipment prep and maintenance, safety compliance, and timely reporting. A minimum of 7 years in surveying for large roadway projects and proficiency in CAD/Excel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant surveying construction experience on heavy roadway projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications and translate into survey data for layout.
• Proficiency in CAD and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs several times a day.
• Overtime and flexible hours (daytime/nighttime).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Accustomed to working outdoors.
• Works well under pressure.
• Must possess and maintain a Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews of surveyors and prepare data at the site.
• Prepare GPS files for automated equipment.
• Recollect site data to perform the as-built with the Survey Manager.
• Perform layout and as-builts for road construction elements.
• Maintain control and execution of all surveying activities in field and office.
• Equipment verification once a month.
• Attend safety meetings and trainings.
• Daily maintenance and preparation of surveying equipment and provided vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
