Orchard Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a Registered Nurse supervisor to coordinate resident care activities, unit operations and nursing staff across a designated shift. You will ensure regulatory compliance and quality care.

The role requires a NYS RN license, CPR, IV therapy and Accu-Chek certifications, with at least three years in long-term or sub-acute care and one year in supervision. Join us for professional growth and stability.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN program is required.
• Three years of experience with one year of long term or sub-acute care experience required.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Current New York State RN license is required.
• Annual re-licensure per regulations is required.
• CPR, Accu-Chek and IV Therapy certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the administration and clinical activities for the nursing department on a designated shift or unit.
• Serves as a resource to staff in clinical and managerial decision making, delegating responsibilities to staff.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff's clinical decisions.
• Develops, implements, and communicates the resident's plan of care.
• Makes rounds to ensure staffing and resident needs are met; ensures compliance with nursing standards.
• Monitors documentation procedures and reports issues to the Director of Nursing.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Nurses.
