Job summary

Orchard Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York State is seeking a registered nurse supervisor for the Long Term Care unit. You will coordinate administration and clinical activities, ensure accurate assessments, and provide leadership for the nursing staff on your shift.

The ideal candidate has a NY RN license, current CPR and IV certifications, and at least 1 year of LTC RN supervision experience, with a commitment to quality patient care and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited program in Nursing.
Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience.
Current NY RN license, CPR and IV certifications.

Responsibilities

Coordinates administration and clinical activities for the nursing dept on a designated shift per LTC regulations.
Ensures admissions are completed thoroughly and assessments are completed.
Addresses emergent resident needs and makes appropriate clinical decisions.
Serves as a resource to staff in clinical decision making and delegates duties.
Participates in surveys and assures assessment of residents and care plans.
Monitors staff documentation and reports to the Director of Nursing.
Makes frequent rounds to ensure care standards are met and tasks are completed.
Performs duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
