Job summary

Mercy Health in Tiffin, Ohio is seeking a Clinical Unit Leader – Lead RN/Charge Nurse to coordinate patient care on a designated unit and collaborate with the Clinical Manager to promote clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. You will adjust schedules, guide staff, ensure safety and infection control, and serve as a resource for staff and families.

RN license and preferred BSN are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state they are working or covered by compact.
• Certifications required based on the unit overseen (e.g., ACLS, PALS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on designated unit.
• Adjusts the schedule and patient assignments to accommodate changes in acuity, patient population, resources and care design.
• Oversees responsibility for the unit in the absence of the unit leader.
• Mentor nursing staff and provide feedback.
• Participate in ongoing quality monitoring and performance improvement.
• Ensure safe admission, transfer and discharge processes.
