Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Georgia is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse to promote quality nursing care, educate patients, and lead an interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes clinical leadership and protocol development within a collaborative care setting.

The Lead RN will mentor staff, partner with the Practice Manager, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards while delivering direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a registered nurse in Georgia.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Associated Degree (RN).
• Two years of registered nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and provide appropriate care.
• Perform initial assessments and develop care plans with physicians.
• Document nursing interventions and physician orders timely.
• Lead staff, train, and supervise MOAs and non-licensed staff.
• Develop and enforce clinical protocols and conduct in-service training.
• Act as a clinical resource and backup in administrator's absence.
• Ensure infection control and safety practices.
• Coordinate patient flow and maintain high-quality patient care.
