Job summary

Porter Medical Group in Middlebury, VT is seeking a dedicated Lead Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care while serving as a clinical leader and resource for the practice's clinical support staff.

The Lead RN addresses patients' nursing needs in both the office and telephone settings, coordinates care with providers, and mentors clinical team members to support onboarding and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
• CPR certification is required.
• Minimum one year of RN experience is required.
• Two years of RN experience in a primary care, specialty, or ambulatory setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in outpatient setting.
• Perform patient assessments, triage, and clinical documentation.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with providers to support patient care plans.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of clinical team members.
• Assist with nursing staff scheduling and daily clinical operations.
• Promote a positive, patient-centered, and team-focused environment.
