This position is based at Orchard Pointe Health Campus, 702 Sawyer Road, Kendallville, IN. The RN will use the nursing process to ensure seamless care from admission to discharge, assess changes daily, and promptly notify the appropriate

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state RN license.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of direct care providers to ensure medications, treatments, documentation, family teaching, care planning and patient care conferences are in line with policies.
• Use the nursing process to deliver care and ensure continuity from admission through discharge.
• Visit residents daily to observe status and notify nurse/physician when conditions change.
• Identify problems and emergencies and initiate lifesaving measures if needed in the absence of a physician.
• Perform administrative duties such as forms, reports, charting and evaluations.
