Huntsville Rehabilitation and Wellness in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the long-term care unit. You’ll use your assessment skills and clinical judgment every shift, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and build lasting relationships with residents and families.

Qualifikationen

• Active RN license in good standing with the Alabama Board or a valid compact license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Long-term care experience preferred; new graduates are welcome.
• Strong assessment, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and a team-first attitude.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Aufgaben

• Complete resident assessments and use clinical judgment to identify and respond to changes in condition.
• Develop, update, and carry out individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapy, following physician orders and facility policy.
• Provide and oversee wound care, monitor vital signs, and evaluate resident progress.
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs on your unit to ensure safe, complete, and timely care.
• Notify the physician, DON, and family of changes in a resident’s condition and follow through on new orders.
• Document care, assessments, and resident progress accurately in the medical record.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Uphold infection control, safety, and resident rights standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for the nursing team.
