Huntsville Rehabilitation and Wellness in Huntsville, AL is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 7a-7p 12-hour shift in the Long-Term Care Unit. This full-time position involves directing CNAs, providing skilled nursing care, and supporting residents and families.

You will administer meds, monitor conditions, and participate in care planning while following safety and infection control standards. New grads welcome; Alabama LPN license and CPR/BLS required.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing with the Alabama Board of Nursing or a valid multistate (compact) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Long-term care experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and a team-first attitude.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsabilités

• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time, following physician orders and facility policy.
• Perform wound care, monitor vital signs, and observe residents for changes in condition.
• Notify the physician, RN supervisor, and family of changes in a resident’s condition.
• Document care, assessments, and resident progress accurately in the medical record.
• Direct and support CNAs on your unit to ensure care is delivered safely and completely.
• Participate in care planning and carry out each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Follow infection control, safety, and resident rights standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
