Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the nursing assistants and caregivers in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Administers medications per physician orders and monitors for adverse effects.
• Coordinates care with other disciplines to meet residents’ needs.
• Participates in admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.
• Performs rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff duties are performed.
• Participates in QAPI activities and infection control as assigned.
