Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an RN Lead for Labor and Delivery in San Luis Obispo, CA. This in-office (onsite) role requires strong leadership, extensive RN experience, and supervision of nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Night shift with 3 x 12s, mandatory obstetric certifications, and EPIC experience are required or preferred, with a focus on staff development and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• Five years' technical experience preferred
• Nurse lead/supervisory experience required
• NRP/ACLS/BLS/AWHONN advanced fetal monitoring within last 2 years preferred
• EPIC experience required

Responsibilities

• Provides unit-based leadership in collaboration with Nurse Manager/Director
• Supervises and directs nursing and ancillary staff
• Coordinate care plans with health team members, patients, and families
• Ensure cost-effective, high-quality patient care and safety
• Conduct rounds and assess patient care needs and caregiver performance
• Foster patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity
• Manage staffing based on patient acuity and workload
• Assist in hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed
• Maintain department operations and compliance with safety and quality initiatives
