Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate degree in nursing or nursing diploma.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six months of nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and patient focus.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per the most up-to-date evidence-based policies and standards.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Communicate with patient/family and nursing team about patient status and plan of care.
• Document care and interventions in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in patient discharge planning and safe transitions.
