Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to provide direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, coordination of care, and effective communication with patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.

The position requires a NJ nursing license, BLS/CPR certification, and a BSN in progress or plan to obtain within 3 years. At least six months of nursing experience or Nurse Residency participation is preferred;

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Must have six (6) or more months of nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
• Telemetry certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care and communicate the plan of care with patient and family.
• Perform nursing assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Utilize bar-scanning and documentation technologies for medication administration.
• Discharge planning and safe transition of care.
