Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare is seeking an RN Clinical Supervisor for L&D on day shifts. The role entails overseeing nursing practice, coordinating patient care, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards within a 12-hour shift framework.

The supervisor will guide staff, manage unit operations, and collaborate with the Nurse Manager and the Director for Maternal Child Health Nursing to uphold patient-centered care values.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in CA.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience in LDRP with regulatory guidelines.
• Minimum of one year of Clinical Unit Supervisor experience; internal candidates considered at management’s discretion.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison to Medical Staff and other personnel.
• Demonstrate proficiency in labor and postpartum care.
• Plan for admissions and transfers; collaborate with Care Management on discharge/transfer.
• Anticipate staffing needs and respond proactively.
• Set measurable goals and ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
