Job summary

Ochsner LSU Health in Louisiana is seeking an experienced RN leader to guide patient care using the nursing process and the standards of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards.

You will delegate and support licensed and ancillary staff, ensure quality outcomes, promote diversity and patient safety, and contribute to the unit and department's strategic goals with professional accountability.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in state of practice; BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patients and groups.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources and act as leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Use data to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Support patient privacy and cultural sensitivity and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform other related duties as required.
