Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana seeks an experienced nurse leader to advance patient care using the nursing process and within the Nurse Practice Act. You will delegate, direct, and support licensed and ancillary team members while ensuring quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities include teaching diverse patients and families, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and using data to drive improvements while upholding privacy and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active RN license.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred clinical specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process in patient care.
• Assess learning needs and teach diverse patients and families.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources with leadership on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data to evaluate and promote changes to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Promotes customer satisfaction and employee morale and upholds professional nursing standards.
• Adapts interactions to the patient population and obtains permissions as needed.
• Performs other related duties as required.
