Job summary

Sedgwick County Health Center is seeking a Charge Nurse to oversee nursing staff in a long-term care setting. You will coordinate resident care, manage staffing, and handle medication administration under the Director of Nursing guidance.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program (RN or LPN/LVN).
• CPR certification required.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Accurate documentation and reporting of resident data and care plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of certified nursing assistants in compliance with regulations and facility policies.
• Observe and assess residents for changes in condition and communicate with physicians/families.
• Transcribe and carry out physician orders; administer medications; monitor for adverse effects.
• Perform wound treatments per physician orders and document changes.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and transportation for residents as needed.
