Job summary

Bon Secours Acute Care - St. Mary’s Richmond - 2North seeks a Lead RN/Charge Nurse to coordinate patient care on a busy telemetry unit. You will work with the Clinical Manager to guide the health care team and promote excellent patient experience.

BSN preferred; current RN license; 2+ years nursing with 1 year acuity experience; BLS/advanced certifications as unit requires. Competitive benefits and leadership opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to entering patient care setting)
• Certifications required based on the unit(s) that the leader oversees (preferred)
• PALS/ACLS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC/NN EC certifications preferred depending on unit requirements
• National Board Certification or specialty certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care on a designated unit.
• Leads and mentors staff in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
• Oversees safe and efficient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Ensures environmental safety and infection control standards.
• Communicates care plans effectively with patients and families.
• Participates in ongoing quality monitoring and performance improvement.
• Acts as a resource and role model for staff and may serve as a preceptor.
• Fosters teamwork, conflict resolution and a positive work environment.
