Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace EDS is seeking a Test Engineer in Lansdale, PA to design, develop, and implement test software for complex RF electronic assemblies and systems. You will work with a diverse team across sites to deliver robust test solutions for fast-paced product development.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years of RF test experience, plus scripting in VB.NET/C#/Python and familiarity with RF test equipment. A US person with the ability to obtain security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years relevant experience or equivalent experience/education as a Test Engineer designing, developing, and implementing detailed test strategies and test techniques to support the integration and acceptance testing of complex RF electronic assemblies, subassemblies and systems.
• 5+ years’ experience developing automated test scripts/programs in a text based IDE (VB.NET, C##, Python etc.)
• Experience with RF test equipment such as Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Power meters etc.
• This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. To be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide test software engineering expertise and support while working collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-site teams to achieve customer satisfaction and operational excellence delivering results on business improvement objectives
• Design, develop, and implement robust and reliable test solutions to interface with complex RF subsystems and assemblies in support of a fast-paced product development environment.
• Implement hardware/software protocols & engineering tools for new product development.
• Develop application test software for multi-board/processor systems with both FPGAs and CPUs.
• Design, develop, and implement intuitive communications interfaces between equipment and the user.
• Assignments are broad and may include developing/evaluating new techniques/plans/procedures.
• Perform technical assignments of an investigatory nature requiring minimal direction from senior engineering personnel.
• Interfacing directly with customers to provide suggestions/support to ensure design compliance with requirements.
• Support Engineering and Operations with testing outside the normal test process, create test setups and test procedures as required.
