Job summary
Stellant Systems in Melville, NY is seeking a Lead RF Engineer to solve complex problems in high-power solid-state RF amplifiers, covering analysis, design, development, fabrication and hands-on testing of RF circuits, modules, and systems.
The role leads active/passive RF components up to 18 GHz, builds models, tests, tunes and documents results, supports production and bids, with occasional travel to customer reviews and field tests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
- 8+ years in RF microwave design and development for a senior level role.
- Proficiency in schematics, PCB layout, testing, tuning, and modification to meet specs.
- Experience with CAD tools and RF test equipment.
Responsibilities
- Design active and/or passive high power RF components and circuits up to 18 GHz and beyond.
- Construct models, simulate, and optimize new RF concepts and analog circuits.
- Perform RF amplifier device selection and budget analysis to predict performance.
- Build RF test setups, evaluate, tune, and document results to meet specs.
- Collaborate with teams to support product development, manufacturing, and production transfer.
- Assist in bids and proposals; may travel for customer design reviews and field testing.
