Job summary

Qualis LLC is seeking a full-time Lead RF Engineer to work in the Space Domain (SDA) and Missile Warning (MW) mission areas from Huntsville, Alabama. The candidate will join a multi-disciplined team delivering advanced RF radar solutions and supporting rapid, high-value efforts for government customers.

The role requires leading RF engineering efforts, defining hardware interfaces, and coordinating across systems, software, firmware, and test engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with government customers including USAF/USSF.
• Understanding of military and industrial hardware standards.
• Experience with product lifecycle from development to production.
• Hands-on RF hardware design, integration, and testing.
• Ability to coordinate across systems, software, and mechanical teams.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF engineering execution and provide technical direction.
• Develop RF plans, sequence activities, and coordinate reviews.
• Define RF subsystems and interfaces from system needs.
• Perform link-budget, frequency, and interference analyses.
• Contribute to transmitter/receiver, channel-simulation, and frequency conversion designs.
• Establish RF routing, cabling, and impedance matching.
• Guide RF schematic/PCB development and thermal considerations.
• Coordinate hardware selection, procurement, and BOM reviews.
• Define interfaces and coordinate RF control and data timing.
• Lead calibration methods and post-change recalibration.
• Plan RF integration, troubleshoot, and assess test results.
