Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking a hands-on RF Engineer to establish and own the RF and electromagnetics discipline within the QRF team. You will design, model, calibrate, and verify broadband RF hardware and test environments, focusing on field delivery and sensor interfaces.

Looking for a candidate with 5+ years in RF hardware and the ability to learn atomic physics concepts related to Rydberg sensing to inform RF design decisions. Work is primarily on site in a lab and production setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, electromagnetics, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of RF, microwave, or related hardware experience.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Own RF and electromagnetic requirements, architectures, interfaces, budgets, and verification for QRF sensor heads and hardware.
• Design, simulate, build, and characterize RF structures such as electrodes, resonators, antennas, fixtures, and shielding.
• Develop RF signal generation, amplification, filtering, frequency conversion, and distribution methods for broadband sensors.
• Create controlled RF test environments, field generation, mapping, and calibration configurations.
• Define measurements for field strength, impedance, S-parameters, noise, linearity, and uncertainty.
