Job summary

Acron Aviation is seeking a Lead Electrical & RF Engineer – Surveillance to drive architecture, development, and certification of airborne avionics across RF, analog, digital, and software domains.

You will lead cross‑functional engineering teams, manage outsourced partners, optimize SWaP‑C, and apply AI‑enabled tools to improve productivity while delivering compliant, cost‑effective surveillance solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years in aerospace, avionics, or safety‑critical electronic product development.
  • 5+ years leading complex avionics RF/hardware development programs.
  • Experience overseeing external engineering partners or contract DOs.
  • Strong understanding of RTCA DO‑160 environmental qualification and RF/EE integration in airborne systems.
  • Experience developing hardware requirements documentation and traceability.
  • Expertise in digital, analog, mixed‑signal, RF, and power electronics design.
  • Experience with certification and regulatory compliance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical engineering activities from concept through certification and production.
  • Define system architecture across RF, analog, digital, software, FPGA/firmware, and mechanical domains.
  • Serve as technical lead for surveillance, communications, and collision avoidance products.
  • Mentor multidisciplinary teams across EE and RF domains.
  • Coordinate outsourced development and manage supplier relationships to ensure delivery.
