Job summary

AbleLight is seeking a full-time Lead Retail Sales Associate in Appleton, WI. This role supervises store operations, guides staff and volunteers, and ensures customer satisfaction and production goals are met.

Responsibilities include coaching, training, loss prevention, reporting, and maintaining a safe, efficient sales floor. The position requires weekend availability and a strong dedication to AbleLight’s mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of retail or customer service experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Able to lift 40 lbs. regularly and stand for up to eight hours.
• Able to assemble and move racks and shelves for extended periods.
• Able to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
• Must be able to work full-time hours during the week (days, evenings, and weekends).

Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains established standards to maximize value of donated goods while using space efficiently.
• Provides coaching and training to assigned associates and volunteers.
• Assists in resolving associate, donor and customer concerns.
• Follows established loss prevention and security procedures.
• Completes timely and accurate reports.
• Maintains a safe and orderly work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Lead Sales Associates assist in supervising store operations, product rotation, training and coaching of associates and volunteers to advance AbleLight's mission, vision and core values. Lead Associates provide direction to staff to ensure that customer satisfaction and production standards are being met to achieve established goals.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of retail or customer service experience
• One year of leadership experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and a good driving record as defined by AbleLight.
• Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis (more occasionally) and stand on feet for up to eight hours.
• Able to assemble and move racks and shelves for extended periods of time.
• Able to carry items up and down stairs as needed.
• Must be able to work fulltime hours during the week (days, evenings, and weekends).
