Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to lead in the absence of store management. The role includes unloading deliveries, stocking and organizing merchandise, maintaining displays, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will greet customers, operate the register, handle payments, and help ensure an orderly, safe shopping space. This position is full time and based at a Dollar General location in the area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the store’s prescribed process.
• Stock merchandise and build displays; rotate and face items on shelves.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Operate cash register and process payments; bag merchandise and make change.
