Vail Resorts in the mountains is hiring for winter 2026/27 across roles including Cooks, Drivers, Instructors and more. Seasonal positions offer competitive pay and a host of benefits from day one.

Starting wage is $21.50/hour to $26.88/hour for Winter Seasonal 2026/27 with full-time hours available. Housing is possible, and employees receive free passes and ski lessons, 40% retail discounts, and access to Epic Service training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
• Previous restaurant, supervisory or guest service experience (required).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Attend to guest needs with friendly, courteous service.
• Answer phones/radio and coordinate dining area setup and bussing.
• Work on floor or in kitchen as needed to ensure smooth operation.
• Assist in training staff and provide feedback.
• Enforce health, safety and cleanliness standards.

Restaurant Team Leaders are an integral part of restaurant operations responsible for leading the floor service, assisting management with operational needs, promoting teamwork among staff, and maintaining service quality and safety to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Job Responsibilities

• Attend to all guest needs in the restaurant ensuring responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
• Answer phones and radio, working directly with other personnel to maintain the dining areas, including set up and busing of tables as needed.
• Work on the floor or in the kitchen, wherever needed, to ensure smooth operation.
• Assist in the ongoing training of staff and provide any necessary feedback.
• Enforce and comply with all applicable regulations pertaining to health and safety requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
• Ensure cleanliness and operation of restaurant and equipment through inspection and adherence to preventative maintenance programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
• Previous restaurant, supervisory or guest service experience (required).
• Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast‑paced environment under pressure.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

The expected pay range is $21.50/hr – $26.88/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
