Qualifications

Current Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT) credential required.
Current state licensure required.
BLS certification via American Heart Association required.
Minimum of 5 years of Respiratory clinical experience.
Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, subacute, or hospital settings preferred.
Knowledge of CPT and Spirometry.

Responsibilities

Oversee all respiratory services provided at the skilled nursing facility.
Supervise, plan, direct, schedule and evaluate respiratory therapy staff.
Collaborate with the facility's MDS department for coordination and documentation.
Maintain and schedule respiratory equipment checks and maintenance.
Develop and implement strategic planning for the respiratory therapy department.
Ensure compliance with state law, facility requirements, and infection-control standards.
Educate staff and perform monthly audits of infection-control practices.
