Job summary

Feather River Care Center in Oroville, CA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support pulmonary and cardiac care for residents. The RT will work with the Director of Nursing and Pulmonary Program Coordinator to implement treatments and monitor progress in a proactive care program.

Responsibilities include administering therapies, maintaining equipment safety, documenting patient data, and coordinating care with families and staff. California licensure and CRT/RRT credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Active CRT or RRT credential.
• ACLS and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of Pulmonary care within licensure scope.
• Administers respiratory therapy treatments and interventions with awareness of side effects.
• Assess patient pain impacting rehabilitation and coordinate nursing intervention.
• Follows infection control and equipment sterilization procedures.
• Documents data in the patient’s medical record after Pulmonary Program activities.
• Operates and tests respiratory equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Formulates care plans based on learning needs of patients and involves families.
• Directs daily shift operation, assignments, and emergency responses.
• Maintains proficiency in PFTs and Bronchoscopes.

Education

Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure

Graduate of AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy

Active CRT or RRT credential
