Job summary

Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Lead Respiratory Therapist for night shift. You will provide clinical leadership, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

The role requires an Associate's Degree or Diploma in Respiratory Therapy, NM licensure, BLS, and preferably ACLS or specialty certification, with supervisory experience in a hospital.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• One year of critical care experience and one year of related supervisory/lead experience in a hospital setting.
• Current NM Respiratory Care License; BLS. ACLS or National Specialty Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical leadership and promotes quality patient care by training and leading assigned staff.
• Collaborates with the manager and/or director in developing and revising department quality assurance, performance improvement, policies, procedures, and protocols. Serves as a department liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers, and staff.
• Coordinates and oversees the safe delivery of complex, non-routine treatments of patients.
• Performs facility-specific specialty procedures as required. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; Certification in clinical specialty.
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• AARC Membership; National Specialty Certification
