Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Lead Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy team at Lovelace Medical Center. The role blends clinical leadership with direct patient care, guiding assigned therapists during nightly operations and ensuring smooth, safe airway management and respiratory support.

• Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• One year of critical care experience and one year of supervisory/lead experience in a hospital.
• Current NM Respiratory Care License; BLS. ACLS or National Specialty Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical leadership and promotes quality patient care by training and leading assigned staff.
• Collaborates with the manager and/or director in developing and revising department quality assurance, performance improvement, policies, procedures, and protocols. Serves as a department liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers, and staff.
• Coordinates and oversees the safe delivery of complex, non-routine treatments of patients.
• Performs facility-specific specialty procedures as required. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; Certification in clinical specialty.
