Job summary

Community and Family Resources seeks an Adult Residential Program Supervisor in Des Moines to oversee a comprehensive residential program for adults 18+. The role includes supervising counselors and care staff, coordinating crisis responses, and ensuring high-quality treatment aligned with licensure standards.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences (or related field) and CADC/IADC certification in Iowa, with at least three years of substance use counseling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences or related field required.
• CADC or IADC certification in Iowa required or preferred.
• Three years of experience as a full-time substance use counselor and three years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operation and functioning of the residential program per standards.
• Manage crisis calls, evaluations, treatment planning, case management, and referrals for adult clients and families.
• Develop policies and procedures related to assessment and levels of care for adult clients; advise clinical staff.
• Supervise staff, including training, planning, directing work, and evaluating performance.
