Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Non-Certified Electrician to lead the installation of residential solar systems and batteries, ensuring conformance to NEC and local codes. The role includes main panel upgrades, troubleshooting, and potentially leading the crew in the Foreman’s absence.

5% travel required. The position requires state-specific electrical certification progress and a clean driving record. Strong safety practices and customer-facing coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess 75% of the hours required to sit for state specific electrical certification exams.
• Electrical installation and repair experience, including wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC.
• Experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of electrical systems interconnecting solar to the grid at customers' homes.
• Ensure work complies with NEC and local codes.
• Safely plan and complete solar battery installations and MPUs per state requirements.
• Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues.
• Coordinate with branch team and homeowners for necessary upgrades/repairs.
• Work with local inspectors to satisfy requirements.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards on PV installations.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
