Job summary

Hudgins Design Group seeks a Project Manager/Project Architect to join its expanding Fort Worth studio. The role leads technical design development and construction documentation for high-end residential projects, coordinating with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

The candidate brings 7–10+ years of architectural experience, strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, and fluency with Revit, Bluebeam, and SketchUp.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
• 7-10+ years of professional experience, preferably including high-end residential or design-focused projects.
• Extensive experience in technical design development, detailing, and construction documentation.
• Strong mentoring and communication skills; ability to lead teams and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the technical development of design and construction documents from concept through construction administration.
• Collaborate directly with technical contractors and material suppliers to achieve constructability.
• Collaborate with Job Captains, design staff, and consultants to ensure coordinated, high-quality project delivery.
• Provide mentorship, redlining, and technical guidance to junior team members.
• Frequent client and consultant code and zoning analyses, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate consultant work and integrate engineering systems into architectural drawings.
• Oversee document technical quality, accuracy, and consistency with office standards for project delivery (QA/QC).
• Engage in studio activities, project reviews, and firm culture development.
• Coordinate and participate in client and consultant meetings.
• Protect design intent while ensuring code compliance and technical delivery of construction details.
