Job summary

E.N.A. Contracting is seeking a hands-on Working Construction Foreman to lead residential remodeling, additions, decks and selected commercial projects in Fort Wayne and surrounding areas.

The role focuses on fieldwork supervision, coordinating crews and subcontractors, communicating with customers, reviewing scopes, and documenting progress without a constant Project Manager presence.

Qualifications

• At least seven years of hands-on residential remodeling or general construction experience.
• Experience as foreman, lead carpenter, crew leader, or senior field employee.
• Proficiency with framing, drywall, kitchens, baths, finish carpentry, flooring, tile, deck construction, cabinets, windows/doors, and siding or exterior repairs.
• Ability to guide a project from demolition through final completion.
• Strong communication with customers and subcontractors.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activity on assigned residential and commercial jobsites.
• Work alongside the crew while directing tasks and maintaining productivity.
• Assign work based on employee skill level and project priorities.
• Train and coach junior carpenters and helpers.
• Review project scopes, drawings, schedules and daily objectives.
• Coordinate subcontractor access and jobsite sequencing.
• Confirm tools and materials are available before work is scheduled.
• Maintain workmanship, safety and jobsite organization.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers and commercial clients.
• Provide daily progress updates, photos and notes through Houzz or other company systems.
• Identify scope changes, hidden conditions and potential change orders.
• Obtain owner approval before performing work outside the approved scope.
• Assist with smaller material purchases and urgent jobsite needs within approved limits.
• Monitor progress against expected labor hours and completion targets.
• Help close out projects, punch lists and customer concerns.
• Support multiple jobsites or service needs when required.
