Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking a Lead Resident Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centered care and to mentor other Resident Assistants. You will support residents with daily living activities, monitor health indicators, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment under supervision of the Healthcare Coordinator.

Certification as a CNA is preferred but not required; the role requires teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience, preferably with elderly residents.
• CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• Completion of medication management course and 12 hours of annual in-service education.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Meet health requirements and maintain continuing education credits.
• Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and daily living activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, mentor new and existing Resident Assistants.
• Supervise staff, including medication administration and onboarding.
• Provide personal care per ISPs including bathing, grooming, dressing, and transfers.
• Record vital signs and progress notes; communicate updates to supervisors.
• Promote resident engagement and a safe, welcoming environment.
• Follow infection control procedures and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Attend mandatory trainings and safety initiatives.
