Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a senior scientist to provide technical oversight for external manufacturing partners, including drug substance and intermediate manufacturing. The role will mentor a group of scientists, guide project activities, and supervise scientific personnel within the area of expertise.

You will generate original research strategies, contribute to publications and regulatory documents, and present at leading scientific conferences, while serving as a lead scientist on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent education with typically 14+ years experience; MS with typically 12+ years; PhD with typically 6+ years in the discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to function as a principal investigator, generating original technical ideas and research or development strategies.
• Demonstrate creative 'out of the box' thinking to solve difficult technical problems and champion new technologies to achieve project goals.
