Job summary

Workforce Intelligence Lab (WIL) seeks a Senior Research Fellow—Apprenticeship & Workforce Policy to support externally funded research on how apprenticeship policy and incentives affect participation and labor outcomes. The role involves quasi-experimental analysis, use of administrative data, and collaboration with academia and policymakers.

Ideal candidates have PhD in a quantitative field, experience with RAPIDS, CPS, ACS/PUMS, QWI/LEHD, OEWS, QCEW, or similar datasets, and strong

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or advanced doctoral training in economics, public policy, sociology, education, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated applied research experience with large administrative or longitudinal datasets.
• Proficiency in R, Stata, Python, SQL, or comparable research tools.
• Strong written communication and methodological judgment.

Responsibilities

• Refine the research question and causal estimand for apprenticeship and workforce policy studies.
• Evaluate treatment and comparison-group design and quasi-experimental methods.
• Conduct or supervise empirical analyses using administrative datasets and labor-market data.
• Contribute to grant proposals, pre-analysis plans, and external publications.
