Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering, computer science, or robotics and 2 years of related experience.
• Degree Substitute: Ph.D in related field.
• Preferred: Ph.D in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering, computer science, or robotics and 4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• 60% Conduct research on modeling, communications, networking, and machine learning techniques for distributed maritime operations undertaken by both surface and underwater marine vehicles.
• Design algorithmic and software tools for decision making, communications, networking, and intelligent autonomous operations.
• 35% Manage and supervise graduate students and coordinate research activities within the project task groups. 5% Other duties as assigned.
