Job summary

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette seeks a Research Associate IV/V to be positioned at the Louisiana Transportation Research Center (LTRC) in Baton Rouge. Qualifications

• MS degree in Civil Engineering or related field; transportation focus preferred.
• Experience with relational database development and management.
• Experience in safety (crash) data analysis, machine learning, and advanced statistics.
• Proficiency with R and Python or similar statistical languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain research projects, literature reviews, and research design.
• Analyze traffic data and perform data analytics; primary resource for data analytics.
• Create meaningful visualizations for reports and publications.
• Apply machine learning to traffic modeling and simulation; work with ITS data.
