Job summary

Total Safety is seeking a Lead Rescue Technician to provide standby rescue support on customer projects, including confined space and rope rescue, plus first aid and CPR. The role involves risk assessment, equipment readiness, and planning practical safety solutions in line with client standards.

You may supervise a crew and participate in incident reporting, equipment maintenance, and on-site safety planning to ensure worker protection and project success.

Qualifications

• 80 Hour Rescue Technician certification and field experience required.
• Confined Space Entrant/Attendant certification and CPR/First Aid training.
• Proficiency in rescue operations and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hazard assessment and draft rescue preplans and RSA.
• Supervise a crew of rescue technicians when needed.
• Conduct air quality monitoring and advise on PPE.
• Lead daily job briefings and monitor conditions for safety.
• Perform incident reporting and coordinate with EMS in emergencies.
• Maintain and inspect rescue equipment and tools.
• Support special projects as assigned.
