KMGH, The E.W. Scripps Company in Denver seeks an Executive Reporter to lead our storytelling mission and mentor reporters and MMJs to their full potential. You will guide content strategy, oversee multi-platform writing, and provide timely feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Collaboration with newsroom leaders is essential to maintain high editorial standards and ethics. You may provide on-air coverage for breaking news when needed, shaping the narrative for the Denver market while

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related discipline preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
• 7+ years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in storytelling and editorial judgment.
• Knowledge of libel laws and journalistic ethics.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and enhance storytelling skills of reporters and MMJs.
• Collaborate with newsroom leaders to execute content strategy with authentic storytelling.
• Oversee writing of stories for all platforms and provide timely feedback.
• Develop and supervise workflow strategies for multiple news programs.
• Ensure content adheres to journalistic standards and ethics.
• Deliver a vision and build trust among reporters, photographers, and staff.
• May provide on-air, multi-platform coverage for breaking news as needed.
